About this spot

This is the area of Funabashi Andersen Park with the most untouched nature, featuring woods and a waterside. Unpaved paths run between the trees, and since there's plenty of shade even in midsummer, it's a reliable spot for a rest. Just walking while spotting bugs, birds, and seasonal flowers and plants keeps kids' curiosity growing. It's a good time to spread out a picnic, eat leisurely, and rest your body before the afternoon's water play. There's a shop in the park too, so you can pick up anything you're missing here.

Tips

There are a lot of mosquitoes in the woods, so bringing insect repellent makes things more comfortable. Some paths are unpaved, making them hard to push a stroller through. Rather than heading straight into the water right after eating, resting a bit before moving on is easier on the body. Drinks can be restocked at the park shop, but expect a wait during busy times.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. You can spend the hottest part of the day, around noon, resting in the shade here
