In 2026 it is open from Friday, July 17 to Monday, August 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It closes from Saturday, August 1 to Monday, August 3 and from Monday, August 17 to Tuesday, August 18, so checking the dates is especially essential if you go around the Obon period. Because it is a facility for wading, you cannot swim or put your face in the water, and large floats over 60 cm cannot be used. It sits in an open park spreading across the western end of Lake Tega (手賀沼), where the lawns and waterside views feel wonderful and families can spend time at an easy pace. It may be cancelled because of rain or heavy rain the previous day, so keep an eye on the weather from the day before.

Tips

Large floats cannot be used, so if you bring toys, water pistols and buckets for playing at your feet are the better choice. It is an open space with limited shade, so protect against the sun with hats and rash guards. It ends at 4 p.m., so starting to change in the 3 o'clock hour saves a last-minute rush. Bodies get chilled after water play, so bring plenty of dry towels and changes of clothes.
