Izumidai Central Green Space Seseragi Stream

Izumidai Central Green Space Seseragi Stream is a free water-play spot in a green space set within a residential area of Ichihara City. An artificial stream, a shallow channel, runs through the green space, and because the water is shallow, even children who have only just started walking can step in on their own feet. Since it is not partitioned off like a pool, the appeal here is that children find their own ways to play: following the current on foot, damming the water, floating leaves. As it is surrounded by housing, there is none of the crowding of a large leisure facility, and you can spend your time calmly. Admission is free, and you can also use it for just a short stop. The 2026 operating period has not been announced; in most years the water flows during the summer holidays.

The bottom of the channel can be slippery, so water shoes or sandals are safer than bare feet. It is a green space inside a residential area, so be mindful of how loud you are and how you park. For children not yet out of diapers, bring swim diapers, and rinse their feet well after playing.
