About this spot

This is the city museum introducing the history and daily life of Kamagaya. This whole area was pioneer land opened in the early Meiji era, and the place name Hatsutomi carries that history to this day. As you look at old farm tools, household implements and photographs, you gradually begin to see how today's residential landscape came about. The exhibition rooms are compact, so even families with small children can go around the whole museum while attention still holds. It is indoors and air-conditioned, making it a dependable place to spend a bright, hot morning in comfort.

The museum has closed days, so check the opening days in the official information before you go. What you can see changes when exhibits are rotated or during special exhibitions.
