Wakamatsu 2-chome Harappa Park Fountain

About this spot

This is the free water play area in Wakamatsu, Funabashi City, the Wakamatsu 2-chome Harappa Park Fountain. Its greatest feature is the foot-sensor-activated fountain: water shoots up when a child steps on the sensor. Because the water comes out through your own movement, children can step and dodge, then step again, over and over, and that is what makes this park special. There are also mist sprays, so even children who dislike getting into water can stay and cool off. With combination play equipment and a rest facility on site, you can move at your child's pace: the play equipment when they tire of the water, a break when they get tired. It is free to use, the 2026 opening period has not been announced, and in past years it operates during the summer holidays.

Tips

The opening period has not been announced, so check the day's operating status in the Funabashi City information before you set out. The area around the fountain gets wet and slippery, so tell children not to run and have them wear water shoes or sandals. Shade is limited, so bring a picnic sheet and a hat. Children who are not yet out of diapers should use swim diapers, and after playing be sure to dry them off well and change their clothes.
