A birdwatching facility that stands facing the Gyotoku Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary in Ichikawa City. Large windows and telescopes inside let you observe the waterbirds gathering in the wetland without getting wet, and the cast of species changes with the seasons, which is part of the fun. Ask the staff and they will tell you which birds can be seen that day, so even first-timers know where to look. Learning that so much nature remains on a plot surrounded by apartment buildings changes the way children look at things. Being indoors with air conditioning also helps you spend the bright morning hours in comfort.

Venue: 市川市・南行徳公園

市川市の南行徳公園にある、無料の水遊び場「南行徳公園人工のせせらぎ」です。例年4月下旬から9月末までの運用で、2026年は4月25日(土)頃から9月30日(水)頃まで、10時から16時30分まで楽しめます。築山の斜面を水が流れ下る構造なので、上流の浅いところから下流へと、子どもが自分のペースで水に慣れていけるのが良いところ。池のように深くならないため、はじめての水遊びにも向いています。トイレ(多機能トイレを含む)はありますが駐車場はないので、電車や自転車、徒歩で向かう計画にしてください。雨天は中止になるため、当日の空を見てから出発しましょう。

Tips

駐車場がないので、車で行く前提の計画は立てないでください。石の上を歩く場面があるため、脱げにくいマリンシューズがあると安心です。更衣室はない想定で、着替えはトイレか日陰で済ませる準備をしておきましょう。16時30分で終了なので、16時前には着替えを始めると落ち着いて帰れます。

Tips

There are closing days, so check the official information for opening days before you go. Binoculars make it more enjoyable, but the telescopes inside are more than enough for observing. It is a place to keep quiet, so telling small children about voice levels beforehand keeps things smooth. You can look around with a stroller.
