This is 'Toyoichi Park's Water-Play Pond & Stream' (十余一公園 親水池・せせらぎ), a free water play area at Toyoichi Park (十余一公園) in Shiroi City. It's made up of two ponds and a narrow stream connecting them, and being able to follow the flow up and down is this park's unique appeal. The water is shallow, so even small children can walk into it on their own. With a maintained promenade, parking, and restrooms, you won't be at a loss for a place to change or rest. Since it's free to use, it's also an easy facility to drop by for just a short time in the evening. The 2026 operating period has not yet been announced; in a typical year, water flows during summer vacation.

Since the operating period hasn't been announced, check the day's water-flow status with Shiroi City's information before heading out. The bottom of the stream can be slippery with stones, so marine shoes or sandals are more reassuring than bare feet. Shade is limited to under the trees, so bring a picnic sheet and a hat. Children who aren't potty-trained should wear water-play diapers, and be sure to rinse feet well at the tap after playing.
