Toyoichi Park Water Ponds and Stream
About this spot
This is the free water-play spot known as the Toyoichi Park Water Ponds and Stream in Toyoichi Park, Shiroi City. It consists of two ponds and a narrow stream connecting them, and the charm unique to this park is being able to follow the flow up and down. The water is shallow, so even small children can walk into it on their own feet. Walking paths are maintained and there is parking and a restroom, so you will not be stuck for a place to change or rest. Admission is free, making it easy to use for a short visit, such as dropping by only in the late afternoon. The 2026 operating period has not been announced; in most years the water flows during the summer holidays.

Tips
Since the operating period has not been announced, check the day's water-flow status through Shiroi City's information before you leave. The stream bed can be slippery with stones, so water shoes or sandals are safer than bare feet. Shade is limited to the area under the trees, so bring a picnic sheet and a hat. Children not yet out of diapers should wear swim diapers, and after playing, rinse feet well at a tap.
