This viewpoint on high ground in Showa no Mori lets you see past the Kujukuri Plain all the way to the Pacific Ocean on clear days. The park's 105.8 hectares are hard to picture from a map, but standing here the differences in elevation and the sweep of greenery come across all at once. The air is clearer in the morning, so your chances of seeing far into the distance are higher then, which is another welcome point. Simply searching together with your children for which direction the sea lies in becomes the start of a small adventure. The walking distance is not long, so it works well as the entrance to the day.

千葉市緑区の昭和の森にある、無料の水遊び場「昭和の森水と緑のあそび場」です。105.8haという広大な総合公園の中の水辺にあり、まわりに木が多いため木陰を確保しやすいのが最大の特徴です。真夏でも直射日光を避けながら遊べるので、小さな子連れでも体力を消耗しすぎずに過ごせます。開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間の開放となっています。公式に開設期間の記載がないため、出かける前に管理事務所(043-294-3845)へ確認してください。入園は無料で、展望台や大すべり台と組み合わせれば、1日をこの公園の中だけで組み立てられるのも魅力です。

Tips

The park has considerable ups and downs, so wear comfortable walking shoes. There is little shade around the observation deck, so a hat and drinks are essential. It is a fair walk from the car park, so allow extra time if you have small children. You can usually see much further in the morning hours.
