This is the centre of Funabashi, where the JR and Keisei stations come together, and the station building and shopping streets are packed with places to eat. Everything from Japanese food to ramen and fast food is on offer, so even when children's tastes differ you can settle it all in one area, which is the strength of a town centre. Cooling off properly in an air-conditioned restaurant will keep everyone energetic for the afternoon water play. There are drugstores and supermarkets too, so towels, sunscreen, drinks and anything else can all be picked up here. The park is within walking distance, so carry only what you need.

船橋駅から歩いて行ける距離にある「天沼弁天池公園 親水広場・噴水」は、噴水を中心とした水辺エリアが主役の無料の水遊び場です。街なかにありながら水と緑がまとまっていて、買い物や食事のついでに立ち寄れる気軽さがいちばんの持ち味。公園にはグラウンドと遊具エリアもあるので、水に飽きたら遊具、遊具に飽きたらまた水と、子どもが自分のペースで遊び続けられます。駅から歩けるため、車を出さずに水遊びに来られるのも都市部の公園ならではの利点です。利用は無料で、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に水が出ます。
Tips
開設期間が未発表のため、出かける前に船橋市の案内で当日の稼働状況を確認してください。水辺のまわりは濡れて滑りやすくなるので、走らないよう声をかけ、マリンシューズやサンダルを履かせると安心です。着替えは公園に着く前に済ませられるよう準備しておくとスムーズ。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを使い、遊んだあとは体をよく拭いて着替えさせてください。

Every restaurant is busy around noon on weekends and public holidays, so arriving before midday means being seated without a wait. The area around the station is crowded and bicycles pass through, so hold small children's hands as you move. Getting hold of a plastic bag for wet clothes here will make the journey home easier.
