This shrine sits atop a small hill jutting out along the coast of Kimitsu. The approach is a long stone stairway, and when you turn around at the top, Tokyo Bay and the industrial belt stretch out before you — on a clear day you can see all the way to the far shore. For children, the experience itself — a reward of a view waiting at the end of a hard climb — is what stays in the memory. Surrounded by trees, the middle of the stairway catches a breeze and feels cool even in summer. Take in this landscape where sea and factories sit side by side, so typical of Kimitsu, while the morning is still fresh.

君津市の市街地にある無料の水遊び場「君津中央公園噴水広場」です。噴水は7月4日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10時から14時45分の時間帯に稼働します。7月については4日・5日・11日・12日と18日以降のみの稼働となるため、7月中旬に出かける計画のときは日付をよく確認してください。噴水広場のほかに複合遊具と芝生広場があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、暑くなったらまた水と、子どもが自分のペースで動けます。裸足での利用はできないので、マリンシューズやサンダルの用意が必須です。利用は無料で、午前は別の場所で過ごし、午後だけ立ち寄るという使い方にもよく合います。

Tips

稼働は14時45分までなので、逆算して12時半すぎには入っておくと2時間ほど遊べます。裸足での利用はできないため、脱げにくいマリンシューズやサンダルを必ず持参してください。噴水のまわりは濡れて滑りやすくなるので、走らないよう声をかけましょう。稼働日や時間は変更されることがあるため、出かける前に君津市の案内で確認してください。

Tips

The stairway is long, so families with small children should climb slowly and drink plenty of water. Non-slip shoes are reassuring. There is also a road that goes all the way up by car, but some stretches are narrow, so drive carefully. The grounds are a place of worship, so remind children not to run about. To avoid strong sunlight, first thing in the morning is the most comfortable time.
