This is a municipal library in the centre of Kimitsu. There is a children's book corner, so you can spend a quiet stretch of time leafing through picture books and illustrated encyclopedias. It is just right for resting your body after the stone stairway, and being able to let the hottest hours pass in an air-conditioned space is a big advantage on a summer outing. On a day with water play waiting in the afternoon, taking care not to use up all your energy in the morning really pays off. Local history materials are sometimes on display too, so it is a stop with discoveries for adults as well.

君津市の市街地にある無料の水遊び場「君津中央公園噴水広場」です。噴水は7月4日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10時から14時45分の時間帯に稼働します。7月については4日・5日・11日・12日と18日以降のみの稼働となるため、7月中旬に出かける計画のときは日付をよく確認してください。噴水広場のほかに複合遊具と芝生広場があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、暑くなったらまた水と、子どもが自分のペースで動けます。裸足での利用はできないので、マリンシューズやサンダルの用意が必須です。利用は無料で、午前は別の場所で過ごし、午後だけ立ち寄るという使い方にもよく合います。

Tips

稼働は14時45分までなので、逆算して12時半すぎには入っておくと2時間ほど遊べます。裸足での利用はできないため、脱げにくいマリンシューズやサンダルを必ず持参してください。噴水のまわりは濡れて滑りやすくなるので、走らないよう声をかけましょう。稼働日や時間は変更されることがあるため、出かける前に君津市の案内で確認してください。

Opening days and hours can change, so check before you set out. Agree with your children beforehand that they will stay quiet inside and eat and drink only in the designated areas. The park is only a short trip away, so cooling off here before heading to lunch makes for an easy flow.
