This is a municipal library in the town center of Kimitsu. It has a children's book corner where kids can quietly spend time paging through picture books and illustrated encyclopedias. It's a good place to rest after climbing the stone steps, and on a summer outing, being able to wait out the hottest part of the day in an air-conditioned space is a real advantage. On days when water play is planned for the afternoon, it helps to avoid using up all your energy in the morning. The library sometimes has local history materials on hand too, making it a worthwhile stop for adults as well.

Opening days and hours can change, so please check before you go. Agree with your children in advance to stay quiet inside and to eat or drink only in designated areas. The park is only a short trip away, so it works well to cool off here first and then head to lunch.

About 55 minutes. It's comfortable to spend the latter half of the morning, when the sun grows strong, indoors here.
