This municipal museum stands in a corner of Sodegaura Park, home to the Upper Pond and the Lower Pond. It exhibits the history of the area and the tools of a life supported by farming and fishing, revealing layers of time that the present-day townscape does not show. The exhibition rooms are compact, so even small children can go round the whole thing while their concentration lasts, which is a real plus. Step outside and you can walk along the pond, so indoor and outdoor are linked by only a short move.
