Tagoyama Fujizuka (田子山富士塚)

About this spot

A Fuji mound built at the end of the Edo period, standing in the grounds of Shikishima Shrine (敷島神社) in Honcho, Shiki City. Created for people who could not climb the real Mount Fuji, it is a small hill piled up from lava to stand in for the mountain, and it is designated a nationally Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property. The path from the foot to the summit is short, but stone monuments line the way and traces of the faith of the people of that era remain to this day. From the top you can see across the townscape of Shiki, and for children it is a proper mountain-climbing experience. Begin the day here, getting a feel for how the town of Shiki came to be.

志木市のいろは親水公園、左岸ゾーンのいろはパークにある「いろは親水公園ウォーターパーク（水遊び）」です。2026年は7月13日(月)から9月13日(日)まで、10:00〜16:30の時間帯に開かれます。ふだんは複合遊具として使われている設備が、夏のあいだだけ水の噴き出すウォーターパークに変わるのが大きな特徴で、遊具と水遊びの両方を一度に楽しめます。利用は無料で、公園のトイレが使えます。新河岸川と柳瀬川が合流する水辺に広がる公園なので、まわりの景色も気持ちよく、大人は木陰から見守れます。夏休みのほぼ全期間にわたって開かれているのも計画を立てやすいところです。

Tips

7月18日(土)・19日(日)は敷島神社祭典のため終日休止です。この2日は避けて計画してください。雷鳴時は中断・中止になるため、夕立の多い時期は空模様に注意し、公式の案内で当日の状況を確認しましょう。更衣室の記載はないので、水着の上から羽織れるものを用意しておくとスムーズです。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊びましょう。

Tips

The days on which you may climb can be limited, so checking the open days on the Shiki City official website before you visit is the sure approach. The path is a steep stack of stones, so always hold hands on the way up. The grounds are a quiet place, so a word beforehand about not running around is reassuring.
