A town-run exhibition facility in Namegawa Town, on the south side of Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park. It gives an easy-to-follow introduction to the local satoyama countryside nature, focusing on the fish and insects that live in the town's reservoirs and waterside. The building is compact, so even small children can see the whole thing before they lose interest. Seeing these waterside creatures before heading to the park changes how the afternoon in the water feels. Opening days and hours can change, so check the town's official website before you set out.

比企郡滑川町の国営武蔵丘陵森林公園にある「国営武蔵丘陵森林公園水遊び場」です。2026年は5月2日(土)から9月27日(日)まで、9:30〜16:30の時間帯に開放されます(悪天候時は休止)。水遊び場そのものは無料で、別途入園料として大人450円・中学生以下無料・シルバー210円がかかります。更衣室と救護所、売店が用意されているので、着替えや急なけがにも対応しやすいのが家族連れにはありがたいところ。まわりに木陰があり、大人は座って見守りながら子どもを遊ばせられます。5月の連休から9月末まで長い期間開いているため、真夏を避けて初夏や秋口に訪れる計画も立てられます。

Tips

悪天候時は休止になるため、出発前に公園の公式サイトで当日の状況を確認してください。園内は非常に広く、駐車場から水遊び場までも歩きます。着替えは更衣室で済ませられますが、混み合う時間帯もあるのでタオルを多めに持っていくと安心です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。終了は16:30なので、16時をめどに片づけを始めると余裕を持って帰れます。

Tips

There is a car park, making it an easy stop by car. The exhibition is small, so rather than spending too long here, save your time for the park. The park grounds are wide and involve a lot of walking, so conserve your energy in the morning.
