This is the Kita-Urawa Higashi Park Water Play Area (北浦和東公園水遊び場) in Urawa-ku, Saitama City. In 2026 it is open from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 30 August, from 9:00 to 18:00 (it may be unavailable due to cleaning and the like). Use is free, and since it is a shallow stream surrounded by lawn, you can let small children play without worrying about the depth. Because it stays open until 18:00, in the long days of summer you can also use it for a leisurely evening visit. It is a park in the middle of town, so the ease of dropping by on foot from the station is another attraction. It is open through almost the entire summer holiday, which makes it easy to fit into your plans.

Tips

There are days when it cannot be used because of cleaning and the like, so if you are coming from far away, check the situation for the day with the Saitama City Park and Greenery Association information to be safe. No changing room is listed, so wearing swimwear under clothes is the surest approach. Spread a picnic sheet on the lawn and adults can sit and watch over everyone. After playing in the water, wash feet well at the tap, and take breaks in the shade between play. For children who are not yet out of nappies, please bring swim nappies.
