The Wood Hirashima Park Splash Pool at Wood Hirashima Park, inside the Wood Combinat area of Hita City (日田市), is a shallow water-play spot for small children. It is open from July 1 to August 31, 2026, and free to use. The water is shallow, so even children not yet used to it can go in safely with a parent. The park has play equipment including fitness apparatus and two lawn plazas (A and B), so there is plenty to do once you are out of the water. With a gazebo, two restroom buildings and parking for 46 cars, it is easy to visit by car as well. Spread a picnic sheet on the lawn and move between the grass and the shade of the gazebo to pass the time comfortably until evening.

Tips

The splash pool cannot be used on cleaning days (July 10, 17, 24 and 31, and August 7, 12, 21 and 28), so always check before fixing your date. Parking is limited to 46 spaces, so arriving early is safer on weekends and holidays. Assume there is no shop in the park and prepare drinks and light snacks beforehand. Water sandals with heel straps and two changes of clothes per person make the day much more comfortable.
