About this spot

This is Hirakata City's central library, standing right beside Kurumazuka Park. It is close enough to drop into before playing in the fountain, making it just the right place to let the hottest start of the afternoon pass in air-conditioned comfort. The children's book section is well stocked, so it is easy to fall into a rhythm of reading one picture book before heading outside. There are also materials on the city's history and on Hirakata-shuku (枚方宿), so you can look up in a book what you saw along the old highway that morning. Since it is a place for quiet, it also works as a cool-down before excitement builds for the water play.

車塚公園噴水は、枚方市車塚の公園にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年のシーズンは4/1(水)〜10/31(土)の9:00〜17:30で、春から秋まで半年以上にわたって稼働するのがこの噴水の大きな特徴です。水量がたっぷりあるので浴びごたえがあり、まわりの芝生広場で体を乾かしてからまた水に戻る、という行き来が気持ちよくできます。園内にトイレがあり、料金は無料。京阪本線の枚方市駅から歩ける距離で、隣には枚方市立中央図書館があるという立地の良さも計画を立てやすくしてくれます。天候により運転期間が変更になる場合があるほか、清掃やポンプ交換などで臨時に停止することがあるので、出発前の確認だけは忘れずに。

Tips

臨時停止の情報は枚方市の案内で確認できます。噴水まわりの床面はぬれるとすべりやすいので、脱げにくい水遊び用サンダルが安心です。更衣室のない前提で、上から着られるラップタオルやポンチョを用意しておくと着替えがスムーズ。芝生広場の日陰は木の下に限られるため、帽子と日焼け止めは必須です。
