Sakai Green Museum Harvest Hill Splash Plaza is a water-play area opened for the summer inside an agricultural park in Minami Ward, Sakai City. The 2026 season runs from Sat 4/25 to Wed 9/23 (national holiday). Hours are 10:00-15:00 (last entry 14:30); in August, 9:00-16:00 (last entry 15:30); and during Golden Week from 5/3 to 5/5, 9:00-15:00. At roughly 1,800 square metres it is large enough that you can easily secure your own spot even on busy days. Changing rooms and showers are provided, so you can get properly sorted after playing, and a comfortable ride or train journey home is a big reassurance for an outdoor water-play area. The Splash Plaza itself is free, but separate admission to Harvest Hill is required. It closes in rain, and use may be restricted when crowded.

In August the hours extend to 9:00-16:00, so on scorching days you can plan to enter first thing and finish early. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, so allow time for getting around the grounds and head over with room to spare. Shade is limited up on the hill, so bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty to drink.

Best time to visit

Enter at 13:15 and you have 1 hour 45 minutes until the 15:00 close. In August it extends to 16:00, so you can play even longer.
