Ohasu Park (大蓮公園)

About this spot

This park adjoins the town of Izumigaoka and has a large pond, Ohasu Pond, at its centre. It is green space laid out along with the new-town plan, and the paths around the pond are lined with trees, so even in midsummer you can walk while following the shade, which is a real blessing. Spread a picnic sheet on the grass and you have your lunch spot. Waterbirds sometimes visit the pond, so children can watch without getting bored during the after-meal rest. For families carrying a lot of gear, the fact that it is only a short walk from Big Bang is the greatest advantage of all.

堺・緑のミュージアムハーベストの丘じゃぶじゃぶ広場は、堺市南区の農業公園の中に夏のあいだ開放される水遊び場です。2026年のシーズンは4/25(土)〜9/23(水・祝)で、時間は10:00〜15:00（最終入場14:30）、8月は9:00〜16:00（最終入場15:30）、GW期間の5/3〜5/5は9:00〜15:00となります。約1,800平方メートルという広さがあるので、混み合う日でも自分たちの場所を確保しやすいのが利点です。更衣室とシャワーが備わっているため、遊んだあとの身支度がきちんとでき、帰りの車や電車が快適なのは屋外の水遊び場としては大きな安心材料になります。じゃぶじゃぶ広場そのものは無料ですが、別途ハーベストの丘の入園料が必要です。雨天は中止、混雑時は利用制限がかかることがあります。

Tips

別途ハーベストの丘の入園料が必要なので、料金と開園時間は公式サイトで事前に確認してください。8月は9:00〜16:00に時間が延びるので、猛暑日は朝いちばんから入って早めに切り上げる計画も立てられます。最終入場は閉場の30分前なので、園内の移動時間を見込んで余裕をもって向かいましょう。丘の上で日陰が限られるため、帽子と日焼け止め、飲み物は多めに用意してください。

Tips

Some stretches of the pond edge have no fence, so do not take your eyes off small children. As a rule you take your rubbish home, so bring plenty of bags. Rather than getting into the water straight after eating, rest for about 30 minutes before moving on.
