Shijonawate Shrine (四條畷神社)

About this spot

This shrine stands in Minamino, Shijonawate City, at the foot of Mt. Iimori, and enshrines Kusunoki Masatsura, a warrior of the Northern and Southern Courts period. Climb to the top of the stone steps on the approach and the view opens up; from the precinct you can sense both the mountains to the east and the townscape to the west. On summer mornings the trees block the sun, so cool air lingers even outdoors. The precinct is calm and not too large, so even families with small children can make a pleasant circuit in a short time. Talk about the history, put your hands together, and ask for a safe day ahead.

寝屋川公園中央広場の大噴水は、大阪府営寝屋川公園の中央広場に夏だけ現れる直径約20mの地面噴出型の噴水です。2026年は7/4(土)〜9/27(日)の稼働で、7/4〜7/12は土日のみ、7/18(土)〜8/31(月)は毎日、9月は土日祝のみの運転となります。地面から一斉に水が立ち上がるタイプなので、噴き出す瞬間を待ち構えて飛び込むという遊び方ができ、水が苦手な子でも自分のペースで距離を取れるのが安心なところです。同時にカスケード（流れ）も動き、浅い流れに座って涼むこともできます。時間は公式の告知を要確認で、荒天時は中止になります。料金は無料で、広い公園なので休憩場所にも困りません。

Tips

稼働日と時刻は年によって変わるため、出発前に必ず公式のお知らせを確認してください。噴き出し口のある床面はぬれるとすべりやすいので、脱げにくいサンダルが安心です。更衣室のない前提で、上から着られるラップタオルやポンチョを用意しておくと着替えがスムーズ。日陰は広場の周縁の木の下に限られるので、日焼け止めと帽子は必須です。

Tips

It is within walking distance east of Shijonawate Station (四条畷駅) on the JR Gakkentoshi Line. The approach is a run of stone steps, so there are moments when a baby carrier is easier than a stroller. Even assuming there are vending machines in the precinct, it is safer to bring drinks with you.
