About this spot

Imai-cho in Kashihara City is a national Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, where Edo-period townhouses survive together in one area. Rows of houses with white walls and latticed doors follow the narrow streets, and simply walking makes you feel the era has changed around you. At the entrance to the town, the Imai Machinami Exchange Center Hana-Iraka introduces the town's origins and the construction of its townhouses in an easy-to-follow way, which makes a good starting point for children's curiosity. There are places to eat and townhouses where you can rest along the streets, so taking lunch here makes for a natural flow. The splash park is about 10 minutes away by car, so the afternoon move is nothing to worry about.

橿原運動公園で夏の間だけ開かれる「橿原じゃぶじゃぶパーク(橿原運動公園)」は、2026年7月18日(土)から9月30日(水)までの土曜・日曜・祝日およびお盆期間(8月10日〜14日)に、9:30〜16:00で楽しめる水遊び場です。主役は水深20cmほどの浅いじゃぶじゃぶ池で、小さな子でも足がしっかり着くため保護者も見守りやすくなっています。キッズスライダー、ミストゾーン、水鉄砲ゾーンがそろい、パドルボートで水面を進む体験もできるので、年齢が違うきょうだいでもそれぞれの遊び方が見つかります。水に濡れたくない子にはキッズバイクエリアがあり、休憩エリアにはテントを持ち込んで自分たちの拠点をつくれます(高さ2.5m以上の大型テントは持ち込めません)。期間限定でバーベキュー場も併設されるため、昼ごはんの計画しだいで一日の過ごし方はさらに広がります。料金は2歳以上900円で、0〜1歳は無料、保護者も入場料が必要です。

Tips

開催日は変更になる場合があり、公式インスタグラムで告知されます。出発前に当日の開催を必ず確認してください。終了は16:00なので、着替えの時間を見込んで15時30分ごろには水から上がると落ち着いて帰れます。ミストゾーンや日陰は限られるため、持ち込みテントとレジャーシートがあると休憩が格段に楽になります。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。

Tips

The townscape is also where people live, so tell your children not to peer into the houses or raise their voices. The streets are narrow with many one-way sections, so parking in a nearby lot and walking is the safest choice. Some streets have little shade, so bring a hat and drinks and keep the walk short. Restaurants have different closing days, so if you have somewhere particular in mind, check its opening days in advance.
