Higashitakeda Neighborhood Park Water Play Plaza (東竹田近隣公園 親水広場) is a free water play area, described in Kashihara City's official information with the note that in summer you can enjoy water play at the water plaza. When the children tire of the water, the park's strength is that they can switch by age between a large combination play structure for elementary-school children and up and a small one for toddlers. There is also an inclusive swing usable while seated in a wheelchair, designed so that all kinds of children can play together in the same place. Including the multipurpose plaza, the lawn plaza and the landscaped pond, the park covers 19,855 square meters, so choose a shady spot, lay out a picnic sheet and you can spend the whole day at ease. The dome-shaped sports facility Kashihara Green Dome stands next door, which also gives you somewhere to escape if the weather suddenly turns.
