A shopping complex in Yamoto, Higashi-Matsushima City where you can handle meals and shopping in one go. There are options even when children's tastes differ, so it works well as a base at lunchtime. Cooling down in the air-conditioned building makes the outdoor hours of the afternoon far easier. If you top up on the towels, swim nappies and drinks you need for water play here, you can focus on playing in the afternoon. Yamoto Seaside Green Park is a short drive away, so extra luggage is no burden.

東松島市の海沿いに広がる「ガス＆ライフ矢本海浜緑地水遊び場」です。遊具広場の中に噴水の水遊び場があり、無料で自由に遊べます。すぐそばに跳ねて遊べるふわふわドームと広い芝生広場があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、走り疲れたらまた水へと、子どもが自分のペースで長い時間を過ごせるのが魅力です。バーベキュー広場とトイレも備わっていて、家族連れが一日の拠点にしやすい造りになっています。4月から9月までの開園時間は8:30から18:00までと長く、日ざしがやわらぐ夕方まで遊べます。海に近いため風が抜けやすく、内陸より過ごしやすく感じられる日もあります。

開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間の運用です。出かける前に施設の案内で当日の状況を確認してください。開園は8:30、閉園は18:00なので、片づけと着替えの時間を見込んで17:00頃には水遊びを切り上げると余裕をもって帰れます。海沿いは日ざしを遮るものが少ないため、日焼け止めと帽子、日陰をつくれるものがあると安心です。水深は浅くても目を離さず、大人が必ず付き添ってください。ふわふわドームは日中に表面が熱くなることがあるので、素足で乗る前に温度を確かめてください。

Tips

It gets crowded around noon on weekends, so arriving around 11 makes it easier to get a table. The green park does not necessarily have a permanent shop, so it is reassuring to stock up generously on drinks and snacks here. The car park is large, so parking near the exit shortens the next leg of the trip.
