This large shopping mall in Ishinomaki City has a food court, restaurants and a full range of specialty shops. Its strength is that everyone can be satisfied even when the children's tastes differ, making it an easy base to use around midday. Cooling down inside the air-conditioned building makes the afternoon outdoors far more bearable. If you buy the towels, swim diapers and drinks you need for water play here all at once, you can focus on playing in the afternoon. There are nursing rooms and baby rest rooms as well, so it works as a midday base even with an infant.

宮城県石巻市の「のぞみ野中央公園人工の小川」です。夏になると園内の人工の小川に水が流れ、浅い流れの中を歩いたり水をかけ合ったりして遊べます。すぐそばに芝生広場と小さな子ども向けの遊びスペース、健康遊具があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、走り疲れたらまた水へと自分のペースで過ごせます。トイレが園内にあり、着替えや休憩の場所に困りません。新しく整えられた住宅地の中心にある公園なので、道が広く歩道も整っていて、ベビーカーでの移動が楽なのも家族連れにはありがたいところです。料金は無料なので、夕方に少しだけ涼みに寄る使い方もできます。

通水日は不定なので、出かける前に石巻市の案内で水が流れているかを必ず確認してください。開設期間も未発表で、例年は夏休み期間の運用です。水深は浅くても目を離さず、大人が必ず付き添ってください。若い街並みで木がまだ大きくないため日陰が限られます。帽子と飲み物、日陰をつくれるものがあると安心です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。遊んだあとは足元をよく流し、着替えてから帰ると体が冷えません。

Tips

The food court gets crowded around noon on weekends and holidays, so shifting a little earlier or after 1 p.m. makes it easier to get a seat. Nozomino Central Park is only a short drive away, so extra luggage is no burden. The parking lot is large, so parking near an exit shortens your next move.
