Kinohana Shrine (木花神社)

About this spot

This shrine in the Kinohana district of Miyazaki City is dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime. It is the very origin of the place name Kinohana, and even without an interest in Hyuga mythology, simply walking the precincts wrapped in deep groves is calming. The grounds are not too large and the stone steps are short, so even families with small children can make a full circuit without strain. On summer mornings the dappled sunlight is cool, making for a quiet time that is just right for starting the day. After paying your respects, the sports park where you will play is only a short drive away.

Venue: 宮崎市・ひなた宮崎県総合運動公園遊戯広場

「ひなた宮崎県総合運動公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」は、宮崎市の遊戯広場にある無料で遊べる水遊び場です。2026年は7月15日(水)から8月30日(日)まで、10:00〜15:00の時間帯で開放されます。当初は7月10日(金)開始の予定でしたが、親水施設の不具合による点検のため7月15日(水)開始に変更されました。水深は約10cmと浅く、歩き始めたばかりの子でも座り込んでぱしゃぱしゃできる安心の深さです。同じ遊戯広場に大型遊具と芝生広場があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、体が冷えたら芝生でひと休みと、子どもが自分のペースで遊び続けられます。利用は無料で、自販機もあるため気軽に立ち寄れるのがうれしいところです。

Tips

毎週月曜・火曜は稼働休止です。ただし8月11日(火)は祝日のため開放されます。雨天・荒天時は利用停止となる場合があるので、出発前に天気と公園からのお知らせを確認してください。幼児は保護者同伴が必須なので、大人も濡れてよい服装ででかけましょう。駐車場は平日無料・土日祝は有料です。15時ちょうどに終了となるため、着替えの時間を見込んで14時40分ごろには切り上げ始めると余裕があります。

Tips

Parking space is limited, so it is best to stop by early and avoid the busiest hours. The precincts have gravel paths and stone steps, so a baby carrier is easier to manage than a stroller. Insects are common in this season, so bringing along a bottle of repellent gives peace of mind.
