This baseball stadium inside Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park (宮崎県総合運動公園) is known nationwide as the stage for professional baseball spring training camps each year. Even on days without games, you can take in the scale of the stands and the view through the rows of phoenix palms from the park paths, an unforgettable sight for children who love baseball. Days when you can enter the stadium itself are limited, but the broad surrounding paths are well maintained as a walking course and easy to stroll. The playground area with the splash pool is inside the same park, so you can drop by on the way, which is a real strength of this course. Choosing shaded routes makes even a midsummer walk pleasant for a short while.

「ひなた宮崎県総合運動公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」は、宮崎市の遊戯広場にある無料で遊べる水遊び場です。2026年は7月15日(水)から8月30日(日)まで、10:00〜15:00の時間帯で開放されます。当初は7月10日(金)開始の予定でしたが、親水施設の不具合による点検のため7月15日(水)開始に変更されました。水深は約10cmと浅く、歩き始めたばかりの子でも座り込んでぱしゃぱしゃできる安心の深さです。同じ遊戯広場に大型遊具と芝生広場があるので、水に飽きたら遊具、体が冷えたら芝生でひと休みと、子どもが自分のペースで遊び続けられます。利用は無料で、自販機もあるため気軽に立ち寄れるのがうれしいところです。

Tips

毎週月曜・火曜は稼働休止です。ただし8月11日(火)は祝日のため開放されます。雨天・荒天時は利用停止となる場合があるので、出発前に天気と公園からのお知らせを確認してください。幼児は保護者同伴が必須なので、大人も濡れてよい服装ででかけましょう。駐車場は平日無料・土日祝は有料です。15時ちょうどに終了となるため、着替えの時間を見込んで14時40分ごろには切り上げ始めると余裕があります。

Nearby parking gets crowded on days with events or games, so checking the park official website for the day schedule brings peace of mind. The park is large and some stretches have no shade, so carry drinks with you. The trick is not to linger here and to walk lightly, saving energy for the afternoon water play.
