The Kokusai Kaihin Entrance Plaza North Entrance Fountain Plaza is a water-play spot surrounded by greenery in Hitotsuba, Miyazaki City. The park official guide states that there is one water-play facility (a fountain), and in 2026 water play is available from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, September 27, from 9:00 to 17:00. Trees ring the area, softening the direct sunlight and making it relatively comfortable even in midsummer. A flower plaza and a cherry-blossom viewing plaza sit alongside, so when children tire of the water you can take a walk for a change of pace. With 2 arbors and 2 benches, it also suits a style where adults take turns watching while someone minds the bags. Management is handled by Awakigahara Forest Park Citizens Forest.

Tips

Operation is cancelled in rain. On cleaning days the fountain is stopped and the site is closed all day; those dates are announced separately, so check the park notices before you leave. The floor around the fountain becomes slippery when wet, so remind children not to run. Since it closes at 17:00, allowing time to change and starting to wrap up by 16:30 leaves plenty of margin. Shade is limited, so a pop-up tent or a ground sheet is handy in case the arbors are already taken.
