The ‘International Beach Entrance Plaza North Entrance Fountain Plaza’ is a water play area surrounded by greenery in Hitotsuse, Miyazaki City. The park's official information clearly states there is ‘one water-friendly facility [fountain]’, and in 2026 (Reiwa 8) water play is available from Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, September 27, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Being ringed by trees softens the direct sunlight, making it relatively comfortable to spend time here even in midsummer. Next door are a flower plaza and a cherry-blossom-viewing plaza, so when you tire of the water, you can step out for a walk and change the mood. With two gazebos and two benches, it's also well suited to a style where family members take turns watching the kids while minding the belongings. Management is handled by Awakigahara Forest Park Citizens' Forest.

Tips

Play is canceled during rain. Also, on cleaning days the fountain is stopped and the facility is closed for the whole day, with the schedule announced separately, so please check the park's notices before heading out. The ground around the fountain gets slippery when wet, so remind children not to run. Since it closes at 5:00 p.m., allowing time to change clothes and starting to wrap up by 4:30 p.m. gives you some breathing room. Shade is limited, so it's handy to have a pop-up tent or sheet in case the gazebos are already occupied.

Best time to visit

About 3 hours. The afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is the sweet spot.
