This is a complex of market stalls and restaurants attached to Toyama Station. Toyama specialties such as white shrimp and masu-zushi trout sushi are gathered in one place, and you can choose anything from sit-down dining halls to quick takeaway, so differing tastes among children are no problem. It is within walking distance of Kansui Park, and you can also stock up here on drinks and snacks for the afternoon water play. Being inside the station it is air-conditioned, making it a good place to cool down between spells of walking outside. Buying souvenirs here first saves you a stop after the water play.

Tips

The noon hour is crowded on weekends and holidays, so shifting to the late 11 o'clock hour or after 1 pm makes it easier to get a seat. Raw foods spoil easily when carried around, so choose shelf-stable snacks to take to the water play. Using the coin lockers at the station means you will not have to walk around the park carrying souvenirs.
