Taikoyama Land Prefectural Park Fountain Paradise is a free water-play spot stretching from the Waterside Plaza to the Event Plaza in Taikoyama Land Prefectural Park, Imizu City. The official website introduces it as a fountain you do not merely look at but step into and play in, offering three fountains to enjoy: the Tunnel of Water, the Crayon Fountain and the Pillars of Water, and it was reborn in the spring 2020 renewal. Each of the three types releases water differently, so children can keep enjoying it for a long time by changing how they play: ducking through, dashing past, being struck from above. According to official news, in 2026 it began operating on Friday 20 March, a public holiday, and the closing date has not been announced. Admission is free with only the car park charged, and the park also has the Murmuring Stream Path modelled on the rivers of the Toyama Plain, combination play equipment, the Lawn Plaza and a paid Pool Plaza, so there is no shortage of places to go if the water loses its appeal.

Tips

The closing date has not been announced, so if you visit in early autumn, check the operating status beforehand. Right after operation starts in March and April both the water and the air are cold, so keep visits short in that season and be sure to bring something to put on. The area around the fountains is wet and slippery, so tell children not to run. The car park is chargeable. Changing places are limited, so a towel poncho makes it quick. Rest in the shade once every 30 minutes and drink frequently.

About 2 hours. The afternoon, when the sun softens, is recommended, and wrapping up before evening makes packing for the trip home easier
