Beside Ikuji fishing port, this facility sells fresh fish direct and also serves meals. Fish caught in the sea just outside are lined up, and the selection changes with the seasons. The dining area offers dishes made with local fish, making it a perfect stop to fuel up for the afternoon. Checking the names of the fish together with your children leaves a real sense of how rich Toyama Bay is. Stock up on drinks and snacks here too, and the afternoon will go smoothly.

Tips

Lunchtime gets busy, so arriving around 11 or shifting to about 13:00 will shorten the wait. Bring an insulated bag if you plan to buy raw seafood. Check the opening hours and closing days in advance. Eating lightly before the waterside area will keep everyone moving comfortably.
