Shinko Sangyo Kirarahama Nature Observation Park
About this spot
A prefectural nature observation park right beside Kirara Expo Memorial Park, making use of the marshland of reclaimed land. The observation hall is equipped with telescopes, letting you feel up close the waterbirds that arrive with each season and the insects and frogs living in the reed beds. The paths are well maintained and easy to walk, and simply peering into the water as you go brings children one discovery after another. Staff sometimes explain the creatures, giving kids the experience of connecting a name they saw in a picture book with the scene in front of them. Touching the quiet side of the waterfront before the afternoon water play adds depth to the day.

山口市阿知須の山口きらら博記念公園に2026年新しくつくられた「山口きらら博記念公園 きららんど親水広場」です。2026年7月27日(月)にオープンし、9月27日(日)まで10:00〜18:00に利用できます(来年度は4月下旬からの利用を予定)。約2,800平方メートルの広さに、水深約5cmのじゃぶじゃぶ池と、アーチ噴水4か所・ミスト噴水6か所・樹氷噴水7か所という多彩な水の仕掛けが並びます。水深が浅いので歩きはじめの子でも安心して入れ、噴水の種類が多いぶん飽きずに長く遊べるのが新しい広場の魅力です。休憩施設やベンチが整い、隣は大型複合遊具広場「きららんど」。公園の入園も広場の利用も無料です。
Tips
裸足やおむつのままで噴水に入ることはできません。マリンシューズなどの履物を必ず用意してください。噴水の水は殺菌した循環水なので飲めません。飲み物は別に持参を。ペットの持ち込みはできません。オープンしたばかりで人が集まりやすいため、駐車場は早めの確保が安心です。遊んだあとは体を拭いて着替え、休憩施設で涼んでから帰ると疲れが残りにくくなります。
Tips
Check opening days and admission fees in the official information. Some paths have little shade, so a hat and drinks are essential. Insect repellent makes summer walks more comfortable. The observation hall is indoors, so switch to spending your time inside if the heat becomes hard to bear. Some sections can be covered with a stroller, but on gravel paths carrying a small child is easier.
