Yamaguchi Kirara Expo Memorial Park Kirarando (large combination playground)

About this spot

A large combination-playground plaza inside Yamaguchi Kirara Expo Memorial Park, said to be one of the largest in the Chugoku region. It reaches up to 20 m high and gathers 25 units with 128 items, so everyone from toddlers to elementary schoolers can find a way to play that suits their age. There are two white air domes, and children cannot stop laughing just from bouncing on them. The water plaza is right beside this playground, so the flow from working up a sweat on the structures to heading into the water comes naturally. Rest facilities and benches are close by, so this is also a fine spot to spread out lunch.

山口市阿知須の山口きらら博記念公園に2026年新しくつくられた「山口きらら博記念公園きららんど親水広場」です。2026年7月27日(月)にオープンし、9月27日(日)まで10:00〜18:00に利用できます(来年度は4月下旬からの利用を予定)。約2,800平方メートルの広さに、水深約5cmのじゃぶじゃぶ池と、アーチ噴水4か所・ミスト噴水6か所・樹氷噴水7か所という多彩な水の仕掛けが並びます。水深が浅いので歩きはじめの子でも安心して入れ、噴水の種類が多いぶん飽きずに長く遊べるのが新しい広場の魅力です。休憩施設やベンチが整い、隣は大型複合遊具広場「きららんど」。公園の入園も広場の利用も無料です。

Tips

裸足やおむつのままで噴水に入ることはできません。マリンシューズなどの履物を必ず用意してください。噴水の水は殺菌した循環水なので飲めません。飲み物は別に持参を。ペットの持ち込みはできません。オープンしたばかりで人が集まりやすいため、駐車場は早めの確保が安心です。遊んだあとは体を拭いて着替え、休憩施設で涼んでから帰ると疲れが残りにくくなります。

Tips

In midsummer the metal parts of the play structures get hot. Do not push it during the strongest sunlight; take frequent breaks in the shade and drink plenty of water. Guardians should stay with children on the taller structures. The park is large, so choosing a parking area close to the water plaza and the playground keeps walking to a minimum. Pets cannot be brought into the water plaza.
