The free water-play area Ishin Hyakunen Memorial Park Wading Pool, in Ishin Hyakunen Memorial Park in Yamaguchi City. In 2026 (Reiwa 8) it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, from 10:00 to 18:00. As the name suggests, the pool is shallow enough to walk across, giving even children who are afraid of water the confidence to step in on their own. It is a different facility from the Ikoi Water Plaza in the same park, and the open periods and closed days differ, so check in advance whether the pool you want is open that day. It is surrounded by lawn and trees, so you can spread out a picnic sheet and stay a long time with breaks in between. It only opens during summer vacation, so it is a place worth visiting at least once during the period.

Tips
It is closed all day on Thursdays. It also closes in bad weather such as heavy rain, so check the official website for that day's opening status before you set out. Small children should always be accompanied by a guardian. Pets are not allowed. Shade is limited, so do not forget hats and drinks. After playing, rinse feet at the tap and change clothes before heading home to keep the car comfortable.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 30 minutes. After 15:00, when the sun softens, is especially comfortable, and you can play until 18:00
