About this spot

This is the rest facility of Tokiwa Park, standing on the shore of Lake Tokiwa. During the Jabujabu Pond season the second floor is used as a temporary changing room, making it just the right base before water play. Eating lunch in the air-conditioned interior fully resets the fatigue of the morning. Since food cannot be brought into the Jabujabu Pond, finishing lunch here is the right call. Look out at the lake spreading beyond the windows and use the time to talk over the afternoon plans as a family.

Venue: 宇部市・ときわ公園

宇部市のときわ公園で夏季だけ噴水池を転用して開設される水遊び場「ときわ公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。面積175平方メートル・水深約20cmで、ミニすべり台とシャワー、日陰をつくるパラソルが用意されます。臨時更衣室はレストハウスの2階に設けられるため、着替えの場所に困りません。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、公式サイトで確認できる直近の開設は2024年7月27日(土)〜8月25日(日)の10:30〜16:00でした。料金も2024年開設時のもので、小学生以下1人200円・付き添いの保護者は無料です(公園の入園自体は無料)。動物園や遊園地、植物館と同じ園内にあるので、水遊びに飽きたら別の遊びへ切り替えられるのが大きな強みです。

2026年の開設告知は公式サイトに掲載されていません。来園前に必ずときわ公園の公式イベント情報で開設日・時間・料金を確認してください。飛び込みは禁止、食べ物の持ち込みもできないので、昼食は先に済ませておきましょう。パラソルの下は場所が限られるため、休憩用のタオルや帽子を用意しておくと安心です。遊び終わったらシャワーで体を流し、レストハウス2階の更衣室で着替えてから帰路につくと快適です。
