Tokiwa Park Jabujabu Pond

About this spot

Tokiwa Park Jabujabu Pond is a water play area created in Tokiwa Park in Ube City by converting a fountain pond during the summer season only. It covers 175 square meters with a water depth of about 20 cm, and comes with a mini slide, showers and parasols for shade. A temporary changing room is set up on the second floor of the rest house, so there is no trouble finding a place to change. The 2026 opening period has not been announced; the most recent opening confirmed on the official site ran from Saturday, July 27 to Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 10:30 to 16:00. The fees are also those from the 2024 opening: 200 yen per child of elementary school age or younger, free for accompanying guardians (entry to the park itself is free). Being on the same grounds as the zoo, the amusement park and the botanical hall is a great strength, since you can switch to another kind of fun once the water play runs its course.

Tips

No 2026 opening announcement has been posted on the official site. Be sure to check opening dates, hours and fees in the official Tokiwa Park event information before visiting. Diving is prohibited and food may not be brought in, so finish lunch beforehand. Space under the parasols is limited, so preparing towels and hats for resting gives peace of mind. When play is over, rinse off in the showers and change on the second floor of the rest house for a comfortable trip home.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 20 minutes. Closing is at 16:00, so arriving early in the afternoon gives plenty of play time
