Housed inside Kajo Central, this facility lets you learn about manufacturing and science in Yamagata through hands-on experience. Many exhibits can be touched and operated, and the more a child reaches out before reading the explanation, the more absorbed they become. A corner introducing the technologies of local companies also shows how the products around us are made. Being indoors with air conditioning, it suits the hot afternoon hours well. The fountain that comes next is right in front of the same building, so there is no travel burden at all.

Admission is free. There are closed days, so check the opening schedule in the official information before you go. Getting ready to change in the restrooms inside the building before playing at the fountain makes everything easier. It is spacious enough to go around with a stroller.
