One of the largest shopping malls in the Shonai region, located in Mikawa Town (三川町). With a food court and restaurants, everyone can find something they like even when children have different tastes. The air-conditioned building lets you cool down and rest properly before playing outside. Stock up here on the spare clothes, towels, sunscreen and plastic bags you may be missing for water play and the afternoon will go smoothly. Nursing rooms and baby rest rooms make it an easy midday base even with an infant along.

三川町の赤川河川緑地ふれあい広場に整備されたのが「パルク赤川親水エリアの噴水」です。河川敷らしい開けた景色の中にあり、遮るものが少ないぶん風が通って気持ちよく過ごせます。噴水のまわりは浅い親水エリアになっていて、小さな子でも大人が付き添えば安心して水にふれられます。かまど施設のある休憩広場ではバーベキューもでき(要申請)、多目的グラウンド、水洗い場、飲食スペース、駐車場が整っているので、家族で長く過ごしても不便がありません。利用は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。水洗い場があるのは、砂や芝生の汚れを落として帰りたい家族連れにはとてもありがたい設備です。

Tips

The food court gets crowded around noon on weekends, so securing a seat before 12 lets you eat in peace. The car park is large, and parking near the entrance on the park side keeps the walk short. Parc Akagawa is about a 10-minute drive away.
