About this spot

A tourism and products hub gathering the farm produce, seafood and processed goods of Shonai. In summer, dadacha-mame edamame, melons and Shonai vegetables line the shelves, and it is enjoyable to compare local ingredients side by side. There is a space where you can eat, so lunch and souvenir hunting can be done together. The air-conditioned interior makes it just the right rest stop for cooling down after a morning of walking outside. Topping up here on the drinks and towels needed for the afternoon water play is reassuring. It stands along a national road with a large car park, which is helpful for families stopping by car.

鶴岡公園の二の丸広場(参道側)に設けられた無料の水遊び場が「鶴岡公園二の丸広場水遊び場(床噴水)」です。令和8年7月3日(金)から8月30日(日)まで、9:00〜18:00に稼働します。5.4m×4.5mの床噴水は人感センサー式で、人が近づくと水が噴き上がり、無人になると約30秒で停止する仕組み。周囲は幅90cmの人工芝マットで囲まれていて、ケガ防止のためサンダル等を履いたままでも遊べるので、小さな子でも足元を気にせず走れます。簡易更衣室とベンチ、二の丸広場のあずまやがあるため、着替えや休憩の場所に困りません。城跡の木立に囲まれた広場なので、真夏でも木陰に逃げ込みながら過ごせるのがこの場所の強みです。

Tips

8月13日から16日は21:00まで延長されます。二の丸広場でイベント等がある場合も稼働時間が延びるので、夕方以降に遊びたい日は事前に確認してください。プールではないので浮き輪などの大きな遊具は持ち込まず、走り回るときは周囲の人に気を配りましょう。着替えは簡易更衣室を利用できます。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

Lunchtime on weekends is busy, so arriving after 12:30 is a little calmer. Check the opening hours and closing days in the official information. If you buy fresh produce, prepare a cooler bag and ice packs, as the car gets hot inside. Tsuruoka Park is about a 10-minute drive away.
