中央市総合防災公園水の遊び場は、市が「水の遊び場(夏期のみ)」と案内している無料の水遊びスポットです。公園自体は終日開放されており、小さな子ども向けの遊具や芝生広場、スポーツ広場・サッカー場が整備されています。名前のとおり災害時の拠点となる公園で、災害用マンホールトイレやソーラー付パーゴラベンチ、かまどベンチ、防災シェルターにもなる四阿が園内に配されているのが特徴です。ふだんは日よけやベンチとして使われている設備が「もしものときには何になるのか」を、遊びながら子どもと話せるめずらしい場所でもあります。水遊びと外遊びを行き来しながら、夕方までのんびり過ごせます。
