A museum inside Yamanashi Fujikawa Craft Park and one of the few facilities in Japan devoted to kirie, the art of cut paper. The fine lines, hard to believe they were cut from paper, and the play of light and shadow they create draw adults and children alike in for a closer look. Special exhibitions sometimes feature artists from Japan and abroad, so there is something new on every visit. The halls are air-conditioned, making this a good place to pass the hours when the sun is strongest. Many children come away wanting to make one themselves, which leads to a craft project once they are home.

山梨県富士川クラフトパーク大噴水は、125個の穴からランダムに水が吹き上がる、直接入って遊べる無料の水遊びスポットです。どの穴からいつ水が出るか分からないので、子どもは水柱を追いかけたり避けたりしながら、あっという間に全身びしょぬれになります。稼働は4月下旬から10月中旬までの9:30〜16:00で、具体的な開始日・終了日は未発表です。公園は年中無休・終日開放・入園無料で、東京ドーム約11個分の広さに砦遊具広場、ふわふわドーム、巨大迷路のフラワーメイズ、芝生広場、カヌー場、バーベキュー場までそろっています。園内には富士川・切り絵の森美術館があり、隣には道の駅みのぶもあるので、1日いても飽きることがありません。

料金は無料です。水が出るのは9:30〜16:00なので、夕方遅くの到着だと止まっている点に注意してください。開始日・終了日は未発表のため、出発前に公式ページ(https://www.kirienomori.jp/guide/16/)で必ず確認を。全身がぬれるので着替えは多めに用意しましょう。噴水のまわりは足元がすべりやすいので、走りすぎないよう声をかけてください。日陰が少ないため、ポップアップテントかタープがあると休憩が楽になります。

Tips

Admission varies with the exhibition (please check the official information for current prices and closing days). Getting lunch at Michi-no-Eki Minobu or inside the park keeps things simple. It is within walking distance of the park's parking lot.
