Manriki Park (万力公園), also called Manyo Forest, is a large park in Yamanashi City spreading along the bank of the Fuefukigawa River (笛吹川), where pine groves and lawn areas continue pleasantly one after another. At the Petting Animal Plaza in the park you can see small animals up close, and even little ones can enjoy it calmly. Spread a sheet on any of the five lawn areas for a packed lunch and you can eat comfortably in the shade. The Children's Plaza has a combination play structure, perfect for moving the body after eating. There is also the ornamental fountain plaza Fuefuki-no-Izumi (Fuefuki Spring) and a roller skating rink, so you can change the order of your visit to match everyone's interests.

万力公園せせらぎの広場・水辺の広場は、園内を流れる小川の浅瀬を利用した水と親しめる広場です。プールのように区切られた場所ではなく自然に近い流れなので、水をすくったり石をひっくり返して生きものを探したりと、子どもが自分で遊び方を見つけていきます。公園は24時間開放されており利用は無料。まわりを松林が囲んでいるため木陰が多く、真夏でも比較的涼しく過ごせるのがこの公園の強みです。園内には子どもの広場の複合遊具、5か所の芝生広場、ふれあい動物広場、観賞用の噴水広場「笛吹の泉」、ローラースケート場、バーベキュー広場までそろい、1日では回りきれないほどの充実ぶりです。水遊びと外遊びを何度も行き来しながら、夕方までのんびり過ごせます。

料金は無料です。水遊びの開設期間は未発表なので、出発前に公式ページ(http://www.yamanashi-fruitpark.co.jp/manriki-kouen/hiroba.html)で必ず確認してください。噴水広場「笛吹の泉」は観賞用なので入って遊ぶ場所ではありません。小川の底には石があるためマリンシューズが安全です。雨のあとは水量が増えることがあるので、流れの様子を見て無理をしない判断を。松林では虫よけがあると快適に過ごせます。

Tips

Admission is free. Wash your hands after touching the animals. The grounds are large, so deciding on the parking location and a meeting point in advance gives peace of mind. Insects sometimes appear in the pine grove, so repellent makes it more comfortable. If you plan to use the barbecue area, check the usage procedure in advance.
