A free water-play spot, the Kinen Park Wading Pool (金園公園 徒渉池), a children's pool at Kinen Park in the Bairin district of Gifu City (金園町8丁目184-17). In 2026 it opens on a total of 31 days between July 21 and August 30, from 13:00 to 16:00. It has one of the longest opening runs among the city's wading pools, which makes it easy to work into summer-holiday plans. The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can walk about and get used to the water. As a rule it is for children in the third year of elementary school and under; preschoolers must be accompanied by a guardian, and infants not yet out of diapers cannot use it. Opening days follow Gifu City's schedule, and in bad weather a red flag is raised and it is closed.

Use is free. Whether it is open that day can be checked by the flag on site (a red flag means closed). Changing space is limited, so wearing swimsuits under clothes goes smoothly on arrival. The ground gets hot, so water-play sandals will protect little feet. It closes at 16:00, so start packing up around 15:45.
