An old-fashioned covered shopping arcade spreading through central Gifu City. Being able to walk out of the strong summer sun thanks to the roof is what parents with children appreciate most. Diners, coffee shops, and Japanese confectionery stores line the street, giving plenty of lunch options. It is also handy for stocking up on snacks and drinks for the afternoon in the water. The street is pedestrian-focused, so you can move around calmly even with small children.

岐阜市梅林地区の金園公園(金園町8丁目184-17)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「金園公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月30日までのうち計31日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。市内の徒渉池の中でも開設日数が多く、夏休みの予定に組み込みやすいのが特徴です。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候時は赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。着替え場所は限られるので、水着を服の下に着ていくと現地でスムーズ。地面が熱くなるため、水遊び用サンダルがあると足を守れます。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めましょう。

Tips

Closing days and business hours differ by shop, so check in advance if there is one you have in mind. The walkway is flat and easy to navigate with a stroller. Events are sometimes held on Sundays and during the summer holidays. Since water play comes next, keeping lunch light makes the afternoon more comfortable.
