Sofukuji Temple (崇福寺)

About this spot

This old temple standing in the Nagara (長良) area is known as the family temple of Lord Oda Nobunaga. The precincts, ringed by trees, are so quiet you would never think the city is close by, and a summer morning where only the cicadas ring out stays in the memory. The main hall enshrines the memorial tablets of Lord Nobunaga and his son Lord Nobutada, making this a place to touch the history of the warring states era. Sitting and looking out at the green of the garden, even a child who ran around all morning naturally settles down. A visit takes about 30 minutes, which is just the right scale for a stop before lunch.

岐阜市長良西地区の若松公園(若福町16-2)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「若松公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月20日までのうち計23日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅く、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめる造りです。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。午前中に遊具で使った体力の残りを、水の中で気持ちよく使い切りましょう。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。着替え場所は限られるので、水着は服の下に着てから出かけましょう。地面が熱くなるため、水遊び用サンダルがあると足を守れます。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろには片づけを始めてください。
