The Splash Pond in Gifu Prefectural Centennial Park (岐阜県百年公園) in Seki City is a water play area that is free to use. In 2026 there is a preview opening on Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12, and the main season runs from Saturday July 18 to Sunday September 13 (weekends only in September), from 10:00 to 15:00. The water is shallow and there is a little slide and a fountain, so even small children can get used to the water with peace of mind. Large play equipment and a grassy plaza are right beside it, so there is no shortage of places to play once you are out of the water. During the summer holidays a splash pond summer festival is held as well, bringing a liveliness you do not see on ordinary days. Use is free, and so is parking.

Tips

Use is free and parking is free. The park is closed every Monday (the following day when Monday is a public holiday), so be sure to check the opening days before you set out. It ends early at 15:00, so allow enough time and wrap up the morning visits without rushing. A pop-up tent or a picnic sheet for shade makes breaks much more comfortable. Bring plenty of spare clothes, and do not forget a bag for wet things.
