Kano Tenmangu Shrine (加納天満宮)

About this spot

A shrine at the heart of the town of Kano, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, known as the deity of learning. It is said to have been moved to its present site when Kano Castle was built, and it has walked alongside the history of the castle town ever since. Votive tablets line the grounds, and a steady stream of people come to pray for success in exams and study. Surrounded by trees, it offers shade even in summer, which makes it a pleasant place for a morning visit. It is only a short walk from Kano Park.

岐阜市加納地区の加納公園(加納丸の内4番)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「加納公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月18日から8月24日までのうち計28日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。加納公園は加納城の跡地に整備された公園で、周囲に残る石垣を眺めながら遊べるのがこの場所ならではの魅力です。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を持参してください。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろには片づけを始めましょう。

Tips

Visiting is free. The roads nearby are narrow, so if you come by car, check where to park in advance. Reception hours at the shrine office vary by day, so inquire ahead if you would like a goshuin seal or similar. Mosquitoes can be around in summer, so insect repellent is reassuring.
