About this spot

Standing on a satoyama hill in Minokamo City (美濃加茂市), this facility combines a museum and a park. The exhibits trace the nature of the area and the history of people who lived alongside the Kiso River (木曽川). Outside the building there are woodland trails and open lawns, so you can move back and forth between indoors and outdoors. Learning about the satoyama waterside at the exhibits first changes how you see the place you will play in that afternoon. Hands-on programs for children are sometimes held during the summer holidays.

美濃加茂市のぎふ清流里山公園にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「ぎふ清流里山公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年は6月27日(土)から7月12日(日)までの土日、7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)までの毎日、9月5日(土)から9月23日(水)までの土日祝に、10時から16時まで開設されます。棚田をイメージした段になった浅い水辺と小川エリアがあり、水の流れをたどって歩き回れるのがこの場所ならではの楽しさです。水辺のデッキがあるので、保護者は木陰から見守りながら休憩できます。利用にはサンダルの着用が必要で、オムツのとれない子どもは水遊び用オムツが必須です。入園は無料なので、気軽に立ち寄れます。

The permanent exhibition is free to view, but special exhibitions may charge a fee. Check opening hours, closing days and special exhibition information on the official website before visiting. The outdoor trails have plenty of shade, but there can be mosquitoes, so insect repellent makes the walk more comfortable. There is a slope from the parking lot to the building, so allow extra time if you have a stroller.
