About this spot

Continuing on from Chisui Shrine, this is a tree-lined path atop the embankment where pines stand in long rows. The pines, said to have been planted to mark the completion of the Horeki flood-control works, have grown into what is now a long green tunnel. The river lies on one side of the embankment and fields spread out on the other, so you physically feel the difference between the height of the river and the height of the land - the real charm of this spot. Shade continues the whole way, making it relatively easy walking even on a summer morning. There is no need to go far: a round trip of 20 to 30 minutes is plenty to soak up the atmosphere.

海津市の国営木曽三川公園にある無料の水遊び場「国営木曽三川公園木曽三川公園センター水遊び場」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、開園時間中の9:30から18:00に利用できます。大花壇のそばに自然石を配した浅いじゃぶじゃぶ池と小さな滝があり、水深が浅いのでまだ泳げない子でも自分の足で歩きながら遊べます。期間中は水遊びのおもちゃの貸出があるため、荷物を増やさずに出かけられるのもうれしいところ。すぐそばに大型遊具と芝生広場があるので、水にあきたら遊具、疲れたら芝生で休憩と、体力に合わせて過ごし方を変えられます。入園も駐車場も無料なので、午前の見学と組み合わせても1日の出費を抑えられます。

Tips

雨天は中止です。当日の実施は公式サイトや現地の案内で確認してください。自然石で足を切ることがあるので、水遊び用サンダルやマリンシューズを必ず用意しましょう。更衣室は想定せず、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるためレジャーシートと帽子、多めの飲み物を。開園時間の終了は18:00ですが、混雑や日差しを考えると16時半ごろの切り上げが子連れには無理のないペースです。

Tips

Walking here is free. The embankment path is mostly shaded, but it gets hot on windless days, so do not forget drinks. Insect repellent is welcome in bug season. Turn back whenever suits your children's stamina.
