This is the free water play area in Kiso Sansen National Government Park in Kaizu City. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 through Monday, August 31, from 9:30 to 18:00 during park opening hours. Beside the large flower bed sit a shallow wading pond laid out with natural stones and a small waterfall; the water is shallow enough that children who cannot swim yet can play while walking on their own feet. Water toys are lent out during the season, so you can head out without adding to your luggage. Large play equipment and a lawn area are right next door, so when the water loses its appeal there is climbing to do, and when everyone tires there is grass to rest on - you can adjust to your family's energy. Admission and parking are free, so even combined with the morning sightseeing the day stays inexpensive.

Closed in rain. Check the official website or on-site notices for the day's operation. Natural stones can cut feet, so always bring water sandals or marine shoes. Do not count on changing rooms; wearing swimwear under clothes before you leave makes changing simple. Shade is limited, so bring a picnic sheet, hats and plenty to drink. Park hours end at 18:00, but allowing for crowds and sun, wrapping up around 16:30 is a comfortable pace with children.

Roughly 13:40 to 16:30. After 15:00, as the sun drops, the water temperature is just right and crowds thin out
