Kukuri Castle Ruins (久々利城跡)

About this spot

Right by the Sengoku Mountain Castle Museum stand the remains of the mountain castle that served as the seat of the Kukuri clan. No buildings survive, but the flattened baileys and the piled earthen ramparts keep their shapes clearly, making the terrain itself the exhibit. From the trailhead to the main bailey is a short slope, easy enough for children's legs. Standing at the top, you look down over the Kukuri valley and understand in your body why a castle was built right here. After seeing the models in the museum, walking the real thing changes children's reactions dramatically.

可児市のぎふワールド・ローズガーデン(旧花フェスタ記念公園)にある「ぎふワールド・ローズガーデン霧のプレリュード水遊びエリア」です。園内の水景施設「霧のプレリュード」で、夏限定のじゃぶじゃぶ水遊びが行われます。立ちのぼる霧と水景遊具が組み合わさった空間は、プールとも川とも違う涼しさで、水が苦手な子でも霧の中を歩くところから少しずつ慣れていけます。入園には料金が必要ですが、高校生以下は無料なので家族での出費を抑えやすいのも助かるところ。ふふふのひろばの噴水やふわふわドーム、大型複合遊具とあわせて、園内だけで午後いっぱい遊べます。バラの季節を過ぎた夏でも、緑と水を目当てに訪れる価値のある公園です。

2026年の開設期間は未発表です。実施の有無と時間帯は出発前に必ず公式サイトで確認してください。入園料が必要(高校生以下は無料)なので、金額も同時に確認しておくと安心です。更衣室は想定せず、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。園内は広く水遊びエリアまで歩くので、荷物は最小限にまとめましょう。日差しの強い時間帯は日陰が限られるため、帽子と多めの飲み物を用意してください。ふふふのひろばの噴水は16:00で稼働が終わるので、同じ時間を目安に片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。

Tips

Visiting is free. It is a mountain path, so wear comfortable walking shoes. In summer the grass grows tall and insects are plentiful, so long trousers and insect repellent are reassuring. After rain the footing turns muddy, so do not push it - simply enjoy the view from the base. Always carry drinks up with you.
